Beyond Critique: Using our Senses to Experience Art
March 24 | 10:30am-3:30pm
Cost: RNAC Member: $60 | Non-RNAC Member: $75

We will look at art together practicing a more experiential way of interacting with the work we see. Can we look and experience the work through our senses, without critical judgment taking over? What possibilities does that open up in our own work? This workshop is led by RNAC artist Robin Colodzin.

March Painting: White on White Painting Class with Amy Sudarsky
March 25 – 27 | 10:30 am to 3:30 pm each day
RNAC Members (three days): $400 for the three days | Non-RNAC Members (three days): $525

White on White is a three-day painting class led by local artist and RNAC’s Artistic Directory, Amy Sudarsky. This is a portrait/figure class with a focus on the colors of white (perfect after this winter!). The same model for all three days, so you can delve into portrait or figure (clothed) as you prefer. Image lectures will accompany each class so you’ll be suitably inspired or cowed by the masters!
Life Drawing with Live Model
Mondays, 1pm-4pm
Cost: RNAC members $20 | Non-RNAC Members $25

Drawing the figure is not easy, but your comfort and skills will soar with regular practice. Each session is drop-in, featuring a different professional model. Poses vary in length, ranging from 3-minute gestural warm-ups to extended 40-minute single poses. 10 easels and a few tables provided. It’s a very supportive group of artists, from beginners to the accomplished.
