Gloucester MA—ROCKY NECK ART COLONY (RNAC) announces HOME, a
juried group show of artwork exploring multiple ideas of home, as structure, a
place inhabited, a state of mind, an idea representing the self, values, desires,
and cultures with physical, psychological, environmental, political, and spiritual
implications.
Sixty-four artists from across the country responded to the open call. Juror Susan
Erony assembled a show incorporating a multitude of approaches and media,
while also introducing some fresh talent to the Rocky Neck Art Colony.
Erony is well suited to curating the theme; she is an artist whose work has
focused primarily on history and the human condition, and on the creation of safe
visual spaces in a troubling world. She has exhibited extensively in Europe,
Canada and the United States, and her work is in public and private collections in
North America, Europe, and Israel.
The public is invited to celebrate HOME at the Opening Reception on June 2,
2024, 4-6 PM. View the art, meet the artists, and enjoy light refreshments,
beverages and ever-lively conversation.
