Call for Exhibition Proposals
The Rocky Neck Art Colony seeks proposals for exhibitions at the Cultural Center Gallery on Rocky Neck. Exhibition and curatorial opportunities are open to RNAC members and non-members, and all proposals are subject to approval by an exhibitions committee. The space is suited for two-dimensional work and small sculpture; interested artists should be familiar with the space before submitting a proposal. A number of five to six-week exhibition slots are available each year. There is a fee for use of the space but there is no fee for submitting a proposal. Applications must include a provision for gallery sitting responsibilities. Opportunities for sponsorship or underwriting exhibitions should be considered. Preference will be given to work that has been produced in the past three years and the bulk of the work should not have been exhibited elsewhere on Cape Ann.
Solo shows or a group exhibitions that contains work that educates, excites or provokes the eye and mind of the viewer and explores new directions in media and concept are encouraged. Mounting an exhibition has many steps so please plan ahead.
To submit a proposal, please contact the committee via entry@rockyneckartcolony.org, using the subject heading Exhibition Proposal. We are available to help you plan a successful exhibition.
Proposals are considered on an ongoing basis.
