Rocky Neck Historic Walking Tour are back for the season! This guided public walking tour covers the rich history of Rocky Neck Art Colony, showcasing the many artists who worked here, especially from the late nineteenth century to today.
Join us for a special performance by artist and musician Stephen Bates. This multi-disciplinary event will feature Bates’ original paintings alongside live musical compositions, performed by the artist himself on clarinet, flute, and bass clarinet. Free and open to the public (donations to RNAC is encouraged).
The Shape of Things exhibition, juried by Adria Arch, features 11 artists from the greater Boston region. The 34 pieces in the exhibition include paintings, mixed media, sculpture and video, all of which utilize the fundamental design element of shape as a defining component of the work.

Join us for the opening reception of The Shape of Things on Sunday, June 8 from 5pm to 7pm. Meet the talented artists behind the work, explore the art, and enjoy an evening of light refreshments, beverages, and lively conversation.
Healing of Art, an exhibition curated by Rebecca Anne Nagle, thoughtfully explores the four realms of healing—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—through a diverse range of media, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and encaustic. Featuring the work of Ryan Kelley, Judith Brassard Brown, Deborah Gonet, and Nagle herself, the exhibition highlights how the creative process itself can become a path to healing. Working in solitude, each artist draws from the ego, mind, soul, and spirit, channeling personal and collective experiences into powerful visual expressions.
Local Author Dan Duffy uncovers a 50-year-old family mystery in his powerful new memoir, In Search of Brother Rich. Hosted at the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck on Thursday, June 12 from 7-8:30pm. The Reading and Book Signing is FREE and OPEN to the public, donations to Rocky Neck Art Colony are appreciated.
Join in for a powerful evening of contemporary poetry as four distinguished poets from the T.S. Eliot House Residency Program gather to share their work. Present Time offers a rare opportunity to experience the voices shaping the landscape of modern poetry—each poet bringing a distinctive vision and lyrical force to the stage. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited; RSVPs are appreciated.
