Member Showcase is Rocky Neck Art Colony's final exhibition of the season featuring seven distinctive bodies of work by RNAC members - John Bassett, Michelle Champion, Eser Costanza, Joanne Hurd, Patricia Scialo, Brian Murphy, R. D. Murphy - selected by juror Shana Dumont Garr.
Reclaiming Folk is an event series that celebrates and honors People of Color (POC) in folk music – they “reclaim” folk because, despite POCs being at the root of the genre, history and culture has erased them from American Folk music. From field calls to Blues and Gospel to Indigenous traditions, the origin of American folk music is connected to people of color.
