About the Musicians
SCOTT MOORE – short bio
Since moving to New England in fall of 2019, Scott has become Concertmaster of the Lexington (MA) Symphony, the Cape Ann Symphony, and Symphony by the Sea. Since 2022 he has been Artist-in-Residence at the Annisquam Village Church in Gloucester, where his growing portfolio includes solo and group performances across a range of genres and media. He is a founding member of the Lobster Cove String Quartet, established in 2023.
Born into a musical family in rural Kentucky, Scott Moore began studying violin at age four and composing music at six. His insatiable curiosity and penchant for collaboration have led him along an exciting and unpredictable career path, from composing ballet scores to playing major bluegrass festivals around the country. Recent seasons have included a handful of solo engagements with the Louisville Orchestra and extensive collaboration with LO music director Teddy Abrams. As a session player, arranger, audio engineer, and budding producer, he is a seasoned professional on both sides of the microphone, and operates Open String Recordings with his wife, violinist Erica Pisaturo. The pair are currently co-producing the large-scale work Folk Electric, including a debut album and live show.
