Beyond Critique: Using our Senses to Experience Art

We will look at art together practicing a more experiential way of interacting with the work we see. Can we look and experience the work through our senses, without critical judgment taking over? What possibilities does that open up in our own work?

Students are encouraged to bring in 3-5 color printouts of a single work in progress, ideally one that is creating a sense of struggle in the studio. We will do experiments on paper to see if we can bring this sense of curiosity and openness into our painting.

This workshop is led by RNAC artist Robin Colodzin.
