Connecting Creativity and Community
Music is one of the most important things in life, and there are so many different types out there that we are all fortunate enough to be able to enjoy. If you have ever wanted to try to write a song or even a jingle or a piece of music or have just been curious as to how one goes about it and the process, this class is for you! This workshop will explore the art of songwriting and cover many different avenues and techniques that some folks use to put together songs.
Workshop participants are encouraged to bring one piece of vinyl (45 or 33 RPM) to share with the class (I will provide a turntable to play them on). There’s no pressure to create anything — you might just want to come to see how it’s done! All invited.
About Bill Dwyer
As a recording and performing artist of many years (over 30), Bill has a wealth of experience with songwriting and crafting pieces of original music. He’s been asked countless times by a large cross-section of people, “So, how do you write a song?” There really is no right or wrong way to create a song, just like there isn’t in the fine arts world.
Workshop Cost: $35 for RNAC Member; $45 for RNAC Non-Member
