Members of the Rocky Neck Art Colony are invited to submit work to
A Juried Spring Exhibition of Rocky Neck Art Colony Members*

Exhibition Dates: April 10** - May 11, 2014, (five weeks) on both levels of the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck.
Juror: Peter Alpers, owner/director of Alpers Fine Art, Andover, MA.
The call: For the first exhibition in 2014, "Here and Now", the Cultural Center Exhibition Committee is seeking member's latest and bravest; work that expresses your evolution as an artist, a vision, a concept or passion. Take this opportunity to submit your best work, or take a chance with a new subject, medium, or process. All media are eligible for submission. Work must have been done in the last year and have not been shown at any other Cape Ann venue. Though not mandatory it is encouraged that work be for sale. There is space for approximately 48 pieces (on two floors)—40 two-dimensional works and 8 three-dimensional works. To kick off the new season, the juror and the CCEC are seeking the best the Rocky Neck Art Colony has to offer!
Deadline: Submissions will begin February 24, 2014 and must be received no later than 12 midnight, March 9, 2014.

- You must enter using the RNAC online entry system (this link will be posted on the RNAC website beginning February 24)
- You will need to have good quality JPEGS of your work. Jurying will be done solely from your JPEG images so please take the best photos possible!
Please note that the SmarterEntry online jurying system works best with the Firefox or Chrome browsers. It also works well with the newest versions of Safari. If you are using any other browser and having trouble with the system, we suggest that you download either Chrome or Firefox and try again with one of those browsers.
Images: file format must be JPEG, TIF or PNG, and no greater than 2 MB. The longest side should be 1280 pixels or smaller. Each image must be labeled with the following information: last name, first name initial, title, medium, width in inches.jpeg. (Example: smith_m_Sunset-Symphony_acrylic_30wide.jpeg) Do not use " in the title or you will not be able to upload the file.
Size restrictions: Submitted 2-D work framed size should not exceed 48" in width and 60" in height. 3-D work should be small enough to fit on a 16x16" pedestal top. 3D artists should be prepared to supply pedestals if required.
Fees: $15 for up to 3 works submitted, and $5 for each additional work (non-refundable).
$25 hanging fee by check to RNACG, on acceptance with delivery of art.
Jury fees must be paid online at the time of submissions. Make sure you have a credit card or a PayPal account to make your payment.
Notification: Selections will be announced on March 19 via email and posted in the next newsletter. Accepted artists will also be posted on our website on March 20.
Delivery of accepted work: Monday April 8, 2014, 10 AM - 12 PM at The Cultural Center at Rocky Neck, 6 Wonson Street.
End of Show Pick-up: Monday, May 12, 2014, 11 AM - 12 PM.
Opening Reception: Saturday April 12, 2014, 4 - 6 PM, at The Cultural Center at Rocky Neck.
Hours: The RNCC Gallery is open Thursday – Sunday, 12 – 4 pm.

**In the unlikely event that the construction project to install handicapped access to the Center is not complete, this exhibit will run four weeks. Artists will be notified of any changes.
