Christy Park earned an MFA in film/printmaking at the Ohio State University, and studied painting and photography in New York. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and she was one of the founders of the 55 Mercer St. Gallery in NY. She is professor emerita at the Massachusetts College of Art, and has written extensively on video art. The interface between photography and the plastic arts is a driving force in my work as is my history of reading stories and myths. Although my earlier work in film and video is still in my head, I love both physical and digital texture which is why I continue to develop collages both on a computer and paper or canvas.
