CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS FOR 2018
The call for proposals for the Grant Competition and other proposals for the 2017 exhibit calendar is now closed.
The exhibitions committee for the Cultural Center Gallery on Rocky Neck is seeking proposals for exhibitions. Exhibition and curatorial opportunities are open to RNAC members and non-members, and all proposals are subject to approval by the exhibitions committee. The space is suited for two-dimensional work and small sculpture; interested artists should be familiar with the space before submitting a proposal. A number of six-week exhibition slots are available each year.
There is a fee for use of the space but there is no fee for submitting a proposal. Applications must include a provision for gallery sitting responsibilities. Opportunities for sponsorship or underwriting exhibitions should be considered.
Preference will be given to work that has been produced in the past three years and the bulk of the work should not have been exhibited elsewhere on Cape Ann.
Solo shows or a group exhibitions that contains work that educates, excites or provokes the eye and mind of the viewer and explores new directions in media and concept are encouraged. Mounting an exhibition has many steps and requires much advance planning so it is not too early to think about a show in 2018 and beyond.
To submit a proposal, please contact the committee via firstname.lastname@example.org , using the subject heading Exhibition Proposal. We are also available to help you plan a successful exhibition. Proposals will be considered on an ongoing basis.
Please forward ideas for programs, presentations, workshops, lectures, and exhibitions. The Rocky Neck Art Colony welcomes all!
