The series I call “The Mapmaker’s Dream” is a body of photographic work that has occupied me for the past six years.
Using the element of water, I tell a I story that begins with very abstract images. With time the focus become clearer. The series ends with subjects who are clearly visible, but enveloped in a light fog.
My intention is to obscure the line between painting and photography while documenting a change in my recent family history.
